Step 4: Configure Your Streaming Preferences
Adjust Video Quality
The Paramount+ app adjusts quality automatically, but you can set your preferences:
- Tap your profile icon in the app and go to Settings > Playback Settings.
- Select "Best Quality" for the sharpest picture (requires a fast connection).
- Select "Save Data" if you're on a limited bandwidth plan.
Enable 4K Streaming on Fire Stick 4K
If you have a Fire Stick 4K or 4K Max and a 4K TV:
- Go to Fire Stick Settings > Display & Sounds > Display > Video Resolution and set it to 2160p (4K).
- Ensure your Paramount+ plan supports 4K content.
- Connect your Fire Stick via the HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 (usually labeled on your TV).
Using Alexa with Paramount+
Fire Stick's Alexa voice remote works great with Paramount+. Try these voice commands:
- "Alexa, open Paramount Plus"
- "Alexa, play [show name] on Paramount Plus"
- "Alexa, pause" / "Alexa, rewind 30 seconds"
