About Amazon Fire Stick & Paramount+

The Amazon Fire Stick is one of the most popular streaming devices globally, and Paramount+ is fully supported across all current Fire Stick and Fire TV models. Whether you have a Fire Stick Lite, Fire Stick 4K, or a Fire TV Cube, the setup process is essentially the same and takes just a few minutes.

Supported Fire Stick & Fire TV Devices

  • Amazon Fire Stick (all generations)
  • Amazon Fire Stick Lite

Step 1: Connect Your Fire Stick to Your TV

  2. Connect the micro-USB or USB-C power cable and plug it into a power source.
  3. Switch your TV to the correct HDMI input.
  4. Follow the on-screen setup to connect your Fire Stick to your Wi-Fi network.

Step 2: Find and Install the Paramount+ App

  1. From the Fire Stick home screen, navigate to the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top.
  2. Type "Paramount+" using the on-screen keyboard or speak it into the voice remote.
  3. Select Paramount+ from the search results.
  4. Click "Get" or "Download" to install the app. It will appear in your app library.
  5. Once installed, click "Open" to launch the app.

  1. On the Paramount+ welcome screen, select "Sign In."
  2. Choose "Sign in with activation code" — an alphanumeric code will appear on your TV screen.
  3. On your phone or computer, open a browser and go to paramountplus.com/activate.
  4. Sign in to your Paramount+ account.
  5. Type the activation code exactly as shown on your TV and press "Activate."
  6. Your Fire Stick screen will refresh automatically and log you in. You're ready to stream!

Step 4: Configure Your Streaming Preferences

Adjust Video Quality

The Paramount+ app adjusts quality automatically, but you can set your preferences:

  • Tap your profile icon in the app and go to Settings > Playback Settings.
  • Select "Best Quality" for the sharpest picture (requires a fast connection).
  • Select "Save Data" if you're on a limited bandwidth plan.

Enable 4K Streaming on Fire Stick 4K

If you have a Fire Stick 4K or 4K Max and a 4K TV:

  • Go to Fire Stick Settings > Display & Sounds > Display > Video Resolution and set it to 2160p (4K).
  • Ensure your Paramount+ plan supports 4K content.
  • Connect your Fire Stick via the HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 (usually labeled on your TV).

Using Alexa with Paramount+

Fire Stick's Alexa voice remote works great with Paramount+. Try these voice commands:

  • "Alexa, open Paramount Plus"
  • "Alexa, play [show name] on Paramount Plus"
  • "Alexa, pause" / "Alexa, rewind 30 seconds"
